Senior Guidewire Developer
Guidewire SoftwareResponsibilities
- Configure and customize Guidewire InsuranceSuite applications using Guidewire Studio and Gosu.
- Support data conversion projects across Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, and related InsuranceSuite products.
- Analyze data models, typelists, extensions, business rules, and product-specific migration requirements.
- Develop data mappings, transformation logic, validation rules, staging processes, and load-ready datasets.
- Use the Guidewire Data Upload Tool to prepare, upload, monitor, validate, and reconcile migrated data.
- Troubleshoot migration, configuration, data-quality, and batch-processing issues and implement sustainable fixes.
- Build pre-load and post-load validations, reconciliation checks, error handling, and restartable migration processes.
- Support mapping workshops, mock loads, defect resolution, cutover, and hypercare.
- Provide technical input on user stories, technical approaches, scope, acceptance criteria, and estimates.
- Participate in design, code, and configuration reviews and document technical solutions and conversion processes.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to the knowledge base.
- Apply AI responsibly to improve development productivity, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent demonstrable professional competency.
- 5–8 years of experience in software development, Guidewire implementation, or data migration.
- Hands-on Guidewire configuration development experience with Guidewire Studio and Gosu.
- Experience with one or more Guidewire InsuranceSuite products, including PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, or ContactManager.
- Practical experience with Guidewire data conversion or data migration projects.
- Hands-on experience with the Guidewire Data Upload Tool, including input preparation, load execution, monitoring, troubleshooting, and reconciliation.
- Experience with Guidewire migration tools or equivalent product-specific utilities.
- Strong understanding of source-to-target mapping, cleansing, transformation, referential integrity, reconciliation, and error remediation.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments with globally distributed teams.
- Strong communication, documentation, ownership, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL is preferred.
- Experience with ETL or data-processing technologies such as Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Informatica, SSIS, Spark, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle is preferred.
- Guidewire certification, Guidewire Cloud Platform or cloud migration experience, Guidewire Data Platform experience, reusable migration framework experience, insurance industry experience, and developer mentoring or conversion-track leadership are preferred.
