Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze functional specifications and coordinate developers across geographies to deliver technology solutions.
- Design, develop, deploy, integrate, and troubleshoot enterprise software for core life insurance and annuity operations.
- Build cloud-native solutions and support system upgrades, releases, and complex programs.
- Serve as a liaison among technical, business, management, design, and analyst stakeholders.
- Provide estimates, technical recommendations, training, guidance, and mentoring to less experienced personnel.
- Gather end-user feedback, reconcile team needs, and help define solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Coordinate information technology discussions and updates throughout the release lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Nine or more years of relevant programming, technical, and architectural experience in the Java ecosystem.
- Substantial enterprise application design and development experience using Java and Spring.
- UI/UX development experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AngularJS, React, and responsive web design.
- Experience with Git/GitHub, Jenkins, Groovy, shell scripting, DevOps concepts, and cloud technologies such as AWS.
- Experience working with business communities and functional groups across and outside the organization.
- Knowledge of the life insurance and annuity domain, Microsoft Office tools, SharePoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, interpersonal, presentation, and cross-team leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced SAFe Agile model involving multiple teams and geographies.
