Base Salary
$207k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects.
- Drive system architecture, technical velocity, and cross-organizational alignment across Google Cloud Platform infrastructure.
- Design high-scale horizontal systems used by internal producer teams and millions of external users.
- Define long-term architecture, technical strategy, and platform roadmaps.
- Author and review critical design standards and align engineering solutions with business goals.
- Influence and coach a distributed team of engineers.
- Facilitate alignment across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of experience in software development.
- At least 2 years of experience with Cloud APIs and API Development.
- At least 5 years of experience with design and architecture, testing and launching software products, and translating high-level business requirements into technical roadmaps and architectural blueprints.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Preferred: 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
