Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and support cloud-native applications running on Kubernetes platforms.
- Develop and maintain event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and K8aaS platform engineering initiatives.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, SREs, and product teams.
- Troubleshoot production issues, provide production support, and participate in incident resolution when required.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and observability.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation initiatives.
- Follow coding best practices, security standards, and quality engineering practices.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Java development; Java 17 or Java 21 is preferred.
- Experience with Spring Boot, API development, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture patterns.
- Understanding of Kubernetes concepts and container orchestration, including Pods, Deployments, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and Helm charts.
- Knowledge of scaling, resiliency, and cloud-native application concepts.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Preferred experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
- Preferred familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD.
- Preferred experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk.
- Familiarity with Linux systems and shell scripting.
- Exposure to frontend technologies and frameworks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, ownership, and cross-functional teamwork skills.
