Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build and support cloud-native applications running on Kubernetes platforms.
  • Develop and maintain event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
  • Contribute to architecture discussions and K8aaS platform engineering initiatives.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, SREs, and product teams.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, provide production support, and participate in incident resolution when required.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and observability.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation initiatives.
  • Follow coding best practices, security standards, and quality engineering practices.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Java development; Java 17 or Java 21 is preferred.
  • Experience with Spring Boot, API development, and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture patterns.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes concepts and container orchestration, including Pods, Deployments, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and Helm charts.
  • Knowledge of scaling, resiliency, and cloud-native application concepts.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Preferred experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
  • Preferred familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD.
  • Preferred experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk.
  • Familiarity with Linux systems and shell scripting.
  • Exposure to frontend technologies and frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, ownership, and cross-functional teamwork skills.
