Responsibilities
- Build and maintain foundational infrastructure services for the Dynatrace Platform.
- Design and manage application networking for a Kubernetes-based platform, including service mesh policies, DNS automation, certificate management, and application load balancing.
- Shape secure, observable, and resilient internal and external traffic flows across the platform.
- Automate certificate lifecycles and cloud networking resources.
- Collaborate on the migration from Terraform/OpenTofu-managed infrastructure toward Kubernetes Operators.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge and proven hands-on experience with Kubernetes networking and microservice architecture.
- Developer-oriented Kubernetes networking experience with Services, Ingress/Gateway API, and NetworkPolicies.
- Experience with certificate management and DNS management.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and GitOps workflows.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP networking, including areas such as VPCs, load balancers, DNS, or private connectivity.
- Solid understanding of TLS/PKI concepts, including certificate issuance, rotation, and trust chains.
- Basic understanding of Kubernetes Operator principles, including CRDs and reconciliation.
- Experience with Terraform or OpenTofu for cloud networking resources.
- Monitoring and observability experience for service mesh is a plus.
- Experience with Kafka, PostgreSQL, Vault, RabbitMQ, Redis, External Secrets Operator, or Kyverno is a plus.
