Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex product, application, and platform landscapes and identify critical architectural constraints.
  • Translate business and product strategy into technology capabilities, target architectures, product boundaries, and integration patterns.
  • Design and evolve modern SaaS, cloud-native, API-led, modular, distributed, and event-driven product and platform architectures.
  • Shape AI-enabled and agentic products and platforms, including data foundations, observability, security, and governance.
  • Lead architecture assessments, technical due diligence, independent assurance, vendor proposal reviews, and technical transformation programs.
  • Establish architecture governance, manage technical debt, guide legacy remediation, and develop pragmatic transformation roadmaps.
  • Improve engineering effectiveness through platform engineering, DevSecOps, SRE, automation, and developer experience.
  • Advise clients and colleagues, coach architects and consultants, and lead multidisciplinary teams while influencing senior stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Typically 10–15 years of experience across software engineering, architecture, technical leadership, digital delivery, or technology consulting.
  • Significant TMT experience with deep expertise in at least one relevant Product & Tech domain.
  • Consulting experience combined with meaningful exposure to product, engineering, or technology organizations.
  • Strong experience designing and evolving modern product, platform, and software architectures, including SaaS, cloud, and legacy modernization.
  • Understanding of AI-enabled and agentic architecture, modern data foundations, and implications for product and engineering organizations.
  • Ability to make and communicate high-impact decisions across application, cloud, platform, integration, data, and AI architectures.
  • Experience with modern engineering practices and the relationship between architecture, team structures, and ways of working.
  • Strong executive communication, storytelling, judgment, commercial awareness, and stakeholder leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and build credibility with senior business, product, and technology stakeholders.
  • University degree in a STEM-related field or business management; MBA or MSc qualifications are advantageous.
