Base Salary
$75k - $125k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide production support and application management for Synthetics SWAP Trading and related applications.
- Ensure system availability, stability, accuracy, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Act as the primary escalation point for issues affecting Front Office trading operations.
- Participate in crisis management and investigate incidents, trading queries, and settlement-related issues.
- Collaborate with business, development, infrastructure, operations, and vendors to support production changes and resolve incidents.
- Monitor, optimize, and tune application performance, identify bottlenecks, and improve system reliability.
- Analyze code, scripts, databases, and complex data sources to troubleshoot application and operational problems.
- Manage risk, strengthen controls, and support governance, policy, and procedure development.
- Communicate complex technical information and influence stakeholders to achieve operational outcomes.
Requirements
- Ample knowledge of Unix, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with SQL Server, including SQL and PL/SQL development and support.
- Proficiency with Shell, Perl, and PowerShell scripting, plus working knowledge of Java and middleware technologies.
- Practical experience with ITRS Geneos, Autosys, PGP encryption/decryption, aPaaS, OpenShift, and Kafka.
- Understanding of trading applications and business processes, preferably within Prime Services, and experience supporting technology solutions in financial services.
- Advanced skills in Unix Shell/Perl scripting, Python, and SQL for application support and database investigations are highly valued.
- Experience investigating trade processing, pricing, accruals, rates, costs, and settlement-related queries is highly valued.
- Familiarity with ITIL principles and practices is highly valued.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, troubleshooting, and client-facing skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across development, infrastructure, and operations teams in scalable production environments.
- Ability to read and analyze code and handle challenging operational situations.
