Responsibilities
- Lead projects or systems by coordinating the activities of other engineers.
- Determine the technical tasks that other engineers will follow.
- Improve existing structures and processes to achieve customer, operational, program, or service objectives.
- Reconcile competing priorities involving time, quality, complexity, and risk to identify optimal solutions.
- Recognize patterns and condense repetition into generalized solutions.
- Collaborate with management to establish and improve standards for engineering rigor.
- Represent PayPal to partners, customers, and industry organizations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to exercise technical judgment, coordinate other engineers, improve engineering processes, and make decisions across competing priorities.
