Responsibilities
- Build product features end to end, from customer problem identification through production release.
- Use edge functions such as Cloudflare Workers to serve AI-optimized versions of web pages in real time.
- Integrate with customer CDNs and hosting environments, including Cloudflare, Akamai, Fastly, and Vercel.
- Understand how AI agents and crawlers access and render web pages, including Web Bot Auth and verified bot signals.
- Expose to customers what AI agents requested and what content was served.
- Use AI development tools to accelerate implementation, debugging, and solution exploration.
- Make pragmatic architectural decisions and safely roll out and roll back changes.
Requirements
- Senior-level product engineering experience shipping customer-facing features end to end.
- Working knowledge of CDNs and HTTP, including caching, headers, and cache keys.
- Strong product instincts and ability to communicate with customers and identify valuable problems to solve.
- Curiosity about how AI agents and crawlers access the web.
- Experience operating in fast-paced, high-ownership environments and making decisions amid ambiguity.
- Ability to write production-quality Python code that is tested, versioned, and safe to release.
- Bonus: experience with browser automation tools such as Playwright or Puppeteer.
- Bonus: production experience with edge functions such as Cloudflare Workers, Fastly Compute, or Vercel Edge.
- Bonus: experience with Web Bot Auth, HTTP message signatures, bot management tools, latency optimization, or cost-per-request optimization.
