Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain secure, scalable software and cloud infrastructure for inspection and imaging applications.
- Write high-quality code and unit, integration, and system tests for business-critical components.
- Participate in design discussions, architectural decisions, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and legacy modernization.
- Identify software, server, and network bottlenecks and evaluate optimization opportunities.
- Apply secure coding practices and use AI-assisted tools for coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and vulnerability analysis while validating generated output.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance and peer programming.
- Contribute to technical strategy, feature ownership, maintainability, performance, and adherence to specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and four years of related experience, a master’s degree with up to two years of experience, or eight years of experience without a degree.
- Experience developing with TypeScript, Java, Node.js, and React.
- Hands-on experience with modern programming languages, frameworks, and cloud technologies.
- Ability to evaluate technical requirements, follow architectural patterns, and build maintainable and scalable implementations.
- Ability to communicate engineering concepts and solutions to less technical teammates and stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring engineers or leading small development initiatives is preferred.
- Experience developing REST APIs using an AWS serverless framework is preferred.
- AWS certifications such as Developer, Solutions Architect, or DevOps are highly preferred.
- Exposure to AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, CodeWhisperer, or ClaudeCode is preferred.
