Base Salary
$120k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and scale internal tools supporting and streamlining production facilities.
- Develop robust systems in Rust to improve manufacturing efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and production teams to deliver tooling.
- Identify opportunities to create tools and improve infrastructure for cross-team efficiency.
- Contribute as an integral member of Matic’s small software team.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in backend software development.
- Proficiency in Rust or a strong systems programming background with eagerness to work primarily in Rust.
- Experience building internal tooling or production support systems.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with hardware engineers and production teams.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment.
- High maturity, ownership, and pride in work.
- Motivation to support colleagues and willingness to learn outside one’s normal comfort zone.
- Ability to diagnose complex technical issues and take ownership of systems and projects from concept through shipping.
