Base Salary
$176k - $264k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and own backend services for ride planning, vehicle matching, and real-time trip execution.
- Design and operate reliable, performant distributed systems for the ride-hailing product.
- Develop partner API integrations, including routing ride requests from Uber and other partners to Nuro vehicles.
- Build telemetry pipelines that surface live vehicle state to riders and operations.
- Own products end to end from requirements through launch and iteration.
- Provide technical leadership by setting engineering standards, mentoring others, and making technical trade-offs.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of backend engineering experience.
- Experience designing and operating distributed systems where reliability is critical.
- End-to-end product ownership from requirements through launch and iteration.
- Hands-on experience with GCP, including CloudSQL, BigQuery, Redis, or equivalent technologies.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, mentoring, and decision-making experience.
- Preferred experience with vehicle, location, dispatch, inventory, order, ride, delivery, or other physical-world platforms.
- Interest in product and business requirements and the ability to identify high-impact initiatives.
