Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and ship high-performing Amazon Homepage platforms and customer experiences across mobile, desktop, and tablet devices.
- Architect scalable, reusable, and sustainable systems and pages that support global customers and locale-specific needs.
- Create customer value from large amounts of data and ensure features scale to business requirements.
- Integrate homepage systems with the broader Amazon ecosystem and collaborate with related engineering teams.
- Investigate complex systems and develop innovative solutions for ambiguous or competing priorities.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of programming experience with a modern language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, software architecture, code reviews, source control, continuous deployment, testing, and operational excellence.
- Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience and a master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
