Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy software build, test, and release pipelines for embedded system continuous integration and continuous delivery.
- Develop firmware and software platforms that enable application and behavior engineers to build features for AI-enabled products and support mass production.
- Manage the lifecycle of complex modules and systems, including image build and release, hardware abstraction, manufacturing test, documentation, coding, testing, maintenance, and result tracking.
- Integrate and calibrate sensors, cameras, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi modules, including device communication over I2C, SPI, and UART with DMA.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, mentor engineers, guide engineering practices, and identify and resolve technical risks.
- Participate in cross-team product design discussions and collaborate with hardware, firmware, software, manufacturing, and supplier engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Robotics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Robotics Engineering, or a similar field.
- 8+ years of embedded systems development experience, including board bring-up and embedded Linux kernel or driver porting for system integration.
- Experience setting up continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Hands-on knowledge of Linux toolchains, the Yocto build system, Git, configuration, and embedded software development.
- Experience with sensor device configuration, automated testing, manufacturing test processes, and software development lifecycles.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills with C++, including STL, Boost C++ libraries, design patterns, multithreading, and synchronization mechanisms.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
- Strong communication, collaboration, technical guidance, risk management, and English-language skills; Agile experience and oversight of complex software projects are advantageous.
