Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical reference for junior AI Engineers and guide software and AI engineering architecture decisions.
- Identify opportunities for generative AI and machine learning that create measurable business impact.
- Translate business needs into viable solutions using LLMs and data.
- Co-create solutions with Product, Software Engineering, Design, educators, students, families, school leaders, and pedagogical specialists.
- Lead the development of frontier-LLM solutions serving millions of education users.
- Architect and develop applications using vector databases, multimodal LLMs, single-agent systems, and multi-agent systems.
- Develop and optimize annotation, validation, evaluation, and quality pipelines for LLM applications.
- Improve the team’s development stack, including LLM infrastructure, governance, and API or computing cost optimization.
- Build and influence rapid prototypes for technical and business hypothesis validation.
- Monitor AI papers, technical blogs, conferences, libraries, and techniques and bring relevant developments to the team.
Requirements
- Solid experience in Data Science, Machine Learning Engineering, data-focused Software Engineering, or robust LLM-based application development.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and Git, with strong software engineering practices including clean code, unit testing, and design patterns.
- Excellent communication skills for translating complex technical concepts for product and business stakeholders.
- Prior experience providing technical mentorship to engineering or data professionals.
- Advanced English proficiency for reading technical literature, documentation, and scientific papers.
