Responsibilities
- Serve as a technology subject matter expert for large enterprise projects.
- Design and develop full-stack applications from ideation through deployment.
- Define system enhancements and recommend product customizations for system integration.
- Ensure integrations meet business goals and support new products and process enhancements.
- Apply expertise in SRE, DevOps, AIOps, architecture, and engineering practices.
- Use payment processing and clearing knowledge, including data mapping and modelling, to triage development and production issues.
- Identify problem causality, business impact, and root causes.
- Participate in technical design discussions and architecture reviews.
- Develop and implement solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, micro frontends, and the Spring ecosystem.
- Lead teams and contribute to high-quality platform development using microservices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in an Engineering Lead role.
- Experience leading teams and building platforms using microservices.
- Strong experience with modern architectures including microservices, event streaming, and multi-region systems.
- Strong understanding of payment systems, payment processing, payment gateways, digital payments, ISO 20022, and SWIFT messaging standards.
- Hands-on experience with Java 21, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, micro frontends, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, and Spring Cloud.
- Experience with IBM MQ, Kafka, Redis, and MongoDB.
- Knowledge of physical, logical, and solution architectures, design patterns, and guiding principles.
- Excellent analytical, diagnostic, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking, and related reporting.
- Ability to work in a matrix environment, work independently, multitask, and take ownership of project areas.
- Keen interest in learning new technology.
