Responsibilities
- Design and build distributed backend services and APIs for core platforms.
- Own services end-to-end, including architecture, implementation, and production reliability.
- Define clear contracts, SLOs, and guardrails for internal teams.
- Collaborate with data, ML, and infrastructure engineers to develop internal products.
- Lead 0→1 and modernization initiatives, setting technical standards.
Requirements
- Solid experience as a backend or platform engineer with end-to-end ownership of production systems.
- Proven track record with distributed systems and building APIs or microservices on cloud infrastructure.
- Experience supporting platform-level services relied upon by multiple teams.
- Ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-changing contexts and make long-term technical decisions.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across disciplines and locations.
