Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend systems and APIs for an AI platform built on Node.js.
- Build end-to-end solutions spanning backend logic, database layers, and frontend integration.
- Develop and optimize database schemas, queries, and data models.
- Implement API endpoints and integrate third-party services and AI/ML providers.
- Collaborate on architecture and system design decisions.
- Maintain and improve the codebase for reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Participate in support engineer rotations assisting customers and the customer support team.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of full-stack web development experience with depth across frontend and backend.
- Strong hands-on TypeScript proficiency across the full stack.
- Experience with Node.js, React/Next.js, and Tailwind CSS.
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL, including data modeling, querying, and query optimization.
- Experience owning features from conception through production deployment.
- Experience building AI-powered features or integrating AI/ML services into applications.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and system design skills.
- Clear communication and collaboration skills, including working with product leadership.
- Willingness to participate in customer-facing support engineer rotations.
Benefits
- Salary range of 66,000 to 120,000 EUR annually.
- Visa sponsorship is available for candidates relocating to Berlin.
- On-site work in Berlin, Germany; this is not a remote role.
