Security Automation Engineer
AlphaSenseResponsibilities
- Design and operate SOAR playbooks and agentic AI workflows that triage, enrich, and respond to security alerts.
- Translate detection logic and AI model outputs into actionable alerts, tune thresholds, and automate feedback loops.
- Build and maintain integrations among security tools, identity platforms, and AI inference services using APIs, event streaming, and orchestration frameworks.
- Add metrics, logging, and alerting to automation pipelines for production observability and reliability.
- Write tests for playbooks and automation logic and conduct purple-team exercises and tabletop simulations.
- Collaborate with AI/ML, DevSecOps, and IT teams to embed security automation into infrastructure change management workflows.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in security engineering, SecOps, or automation roles.
- Proficiency in Python and/or Go for scripting and tooling.
- Hands-on experience with SOAR platforms such as Splunk SOAR, Palo Alto XSOAR, or Tines.
- Experience with SIEM platforms including Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or Google Chronicle.
- Experience with REST API integration and event-driven architecture.
- Understanding of threat detection logic, MITRE ATT&CK, and the kill chain.
- Familiarity with LLM/AI APIs and prompt-driven automation workflows.
- Experience with version control and CI/CD practices, including Git and GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of cloud security fundamentals across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong written documentation habits.
- Preferred experience deploying or fine-tuning ML models for anomaly detection or NLP-based log analysis.
- Preferred familiarity with LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, Docker, Kubernetes, Malware Information Sharing Platform, and OpenCTI.
- CISSP, AWS Security Specialty, or equivalent certification is preferred.
