Responsibilities
- Design and implement full-stack services, APIs, tools, and internal platform capabilities that improve developer experience for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure teams.
- Deliver features end to end through requirements clarification, technical design, implementation, automated testing, deployment, and operational support.
- Partner with OCI engineering teams to identify developer pain points and build reliable, scalable platform capabilities.
- Participate in code and design reviews and contribute to testing, CI/CD, observability, security, and operational-readiness practices.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues, participate in on-call and incident response, and drive follow-up actions.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational playbooks.
- Use AI-assisted techniques and approved workflows to improve prototyping, test coverage, refactoring, documentation, observability, and operations.
- Provide technical leadership to other software developers after onboarding.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5–6 years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in Java and experience building REST and/or gRPC services.
- Experience building full-stack software, including backend services and user-facing tools or web applications.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of RDBMS and/or NoSQL data stores.
- Experience with source control, code review, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance-tuning skills.
- Ability to follow enterprise security and privacy requirements when using AI tooling and protect sensitive data through approved tools and workflows.
