Base Salary
$220k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve scalable, reliable platform architecture while evaluating system design trade-offs.
- Develop tooling, services, and automation that improve developer productivity, reliability, and observability.
- Expand and harden Terraform infrastructure as code across environments.
- Design scalable system interactions and data flows with attention to scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Build monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and testing pipelines that provide meaningful operational signal.
- Secure CI/CD pipelines, access controls, networking, and data flows while supporting compliance efforts.
- Reduce operational toil through automation, abstractions, new tooling, and appropriate use of AI.
- Partner with feature engineering teams to unblock delivery and guide platform decisions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or software engineering roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience is considered.
- Strong software engineering foundation and solid coding skills, with Python preferred.
- Hands-on experience designing and operating cloud-native systems, preferably with GCP.
- Deep experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub and GitHub Actions.
- Strong understanding of containers, Docker, cloud networking, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with databases and data infrastructure.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures such as Kafka, Pub/Sub, or Kinesis.
- Ability to clearly discuss architectural trade-offs and system design decisions.
- Additional relevant experience includes startup or scaling environments, SRE practices, serverless or managed cloud architectures, regulated or security-sensitive environments, AI-driven operational tooling, and FinTech or HealthTech.
