Base Salary
$174k - $331k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers to build high-performance data ingestion pipelines and data stores for segmentation and activation use cases.
- Design and implement components for ingesting and maintaining petabytes of Profile data.
- Develop streaming and batch data ingestion systems handling high volumes.
- Design storage models using file and table formats for required ingestion volumes and access patterns.
- Evaluate tradeoffs across data formats and schema layouts based on workloads and application characteristics.
- Deploy production services and iteratively improve them using customer feedback.
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews and drive cross-team efforts.
Requirements
- M.S. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 15+ years of industry background are stated as best suited for this senior-scope role.
- Experience with distributed processing systems such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Apache Kafka.
- Experience with cloud data lake storage such as Azure Data Lake Storage or Amazon S3.
- Strong programming skills with extensive experience in Java or Scala.
- Practical experience building resilient data pipelines at scale.
- Understanding of Apache Parquet and table formats such as Databricks Delta, Apache Iceberg, or Apache Hudi is preferred.
- Understanding of NoSQL databases such as Apache HBase, Cassandra, Mongo, or Azure Cosmos DB is a plus.
- Leadership, collaboration, communication, adaptability, and the ability to reason about short- and long-term solutions.
Benefits
- U.S. base pay range of $173,500-$331,050 annually, with a California range of $228,600-$331,050.
- Non-sales roles may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Plan and certain roles may receive long-term incentives through a new-hire equity award.
