Base Salary

$196k - $340k/yr

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and scale core Kubernetes platform capabilities across ~70 clusters.
Lead modernization efforts, including migrating to a new CNI plugin for IP security management.
Rewrite core deployment services from Typescript to Golang to improve performance.
Enhance developer experience for service creation and deployment workflows.
Collaborate with Security to implement governance controls and infrastructure safeguards.
Define and uphold operational excellence standards by measuring SLOs.
Spend 70% of time on hands-on engineering and 30% on design reviews and mentorship.
Review architecture proposals and guide infrastructure decisions.

8+ years of software engineering experience with expertise in Kubernetes-based platforms.
Strong understanding of Kubernetes internals, including controllers, CRDs, and networking.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Experience with CI/CD and deployment tools such as Spinnaker or Jenkins.
Effective communication skills for collaboration across engineering teams.
Empathetic partner to product engineers with a strong sense of ownership.
Preferably experienced with AWS infrastructure and EKS.
