Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of complex, companywide architecture projects and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain the enterprise IAM architecture strategy and roadmap.
- Design scalable identity solutions supporting SSO, MFA, federation, RBAC/ABAC, and Zero Trust principles.
- Lead technical design for IAM integrations across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
- Oversee identity lifecycle management, access governance, and provisioning workflows.
- Define and enforce standards for OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, and LDAP.
- Partner with application teams to onboard systems to identity platforms and strengthen authentication flows.
- Evaluate IAM tools, technologies, and vendors and lead proof-of-concept projects.
- Ensure IAM architecture aligns with SOX, PCI, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 requirements.
- Communicate architecture strategy to management and technical teams and provide mentorship to engineering teams.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of architecture experience or equivalent experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Experience in IAM, security architecture, or cybersecurity engineering is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with IAM platforms such as Azure AD/Entra ID, Okta, Ping, SailPoint, or CyberArk is preferred.
- Experience with cloud IAM using AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
- Understanding of identity protocols, authentication patterns, authorization frameworks, Zero Trust architecture, PAM, secrets management, and identity governance.
- Experience defining enterprise IAM standards, reference architectures, or design patterns.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical and non-technical teams.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, Okta Architect, CyberArk Defender/Sentry, or Azure Identity certifications are preferred.
- Experience in large-scale enterprise environments and prior hands-on development or implementation experience are preferred.
