Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor Java developers across application development, enhancements, testing, production support, and continuous improvement.
- Design, develop, and enhance enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Build batch processing solutions, data transformation services, XML-to-JSON conversion capabilities, and integration components.
- Develop and support OpenText Exstream solutions for document composition, customer communication management, print workflows, and archival integrations.
- Drive CI/CD implementation, release management, cloud migration, deployment automation, version upgrades, and platform modernization.
- Coordinate with business analysts, architects, product owners, offshore teams, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience with strong expertise in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Hands-on experience developing and supporting enterprise applications, including production deployments, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and issue resolution.
- Strong experience with OpenText Exstream or HP Exstream customer communication management platforms.
- Proficiency in Oracle, PL/SQL, Unix Shell scripting, SQL Server, MongoDB, and relational database technologies.
- Experience with Git, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jenkins, TeamCity, Maven, Gradle, OpenShift, AWS, and Ansible in CI/CD and DevOps contexts.
- Experience leading development activities, coordinating cross-functional teams, supporting release management, and collaborating with business and vendor stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of AI-assisted development tools and prompting techniques, including Microsoft Copilot and Claude.
- Preferred experience in trading or capital markets, Java modernization, cloud migration, enterprise transformation, API development, batch processing, enterprise integration, and large-scale customer communication management platforms.
