Responsibilities
- Research and immerse yourself in a real RBC business challenge.
- Collaborate with cross-functional business, data, and programming specialists to develop an innovative product or solution.
- Design, create, and deliver a fully functional prototype that solves a real business need.
- Work with subject matter experts, mentors, executive sponsors, and technology and business stakeholders.
- Apply programming, design, analytical, communication, teamwork, and leadership skills in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
- Develop project strategy and communications and present the solution to stakeholders and executives.
- Participate in training covering design thinking, agile development, and other tools.
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution and graduating between August 2026 and June 2027; eligible programs include college, undergraduate, master's, and PhD studies.
- Understanding of programming languages, databases, platforms, frameworks, design techniques and tools, code management tooling, and/or web technologies.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and processes.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Creative, analytical, self-driven, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
- Experience in at least one of the following: cloud platforms and related technology, mobile application development, DevOps tools and processes, full-stack technologies, or service-based architectures and API development.
- Hackathon experience, stakeholder presentation experience, financial services or FinTech interest, practical web or mobile development experience, agile or design thinking experience, and Figma experience are nice to have.
