Base Salary
$125k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of user-facing features across frontend and backend.
- Translate ambiguous product goals into technical plans and shipped outcomes.
- Partner with product and design on roadmap decisions and execution strategy.
- Talk directly with users to understand workflows, pain points, and opportunities.
- Drive rapid iteration using feedback, data, and firsthand product usage.
- Improve system quality through thoughtful design, testing, and code review.
- Identify and resolve structural issues that slow the team or degrade product quality.
- Mentor junior engineers through pairing, feedback, and technical example.
- Own important product areas and deliver high-quality features with limited oversight.
- Make architectural and product tradeoffs that improve user experience, reliability, product depth, and development velocity.
Requirements
- Several years of experience building and shipping production software.
- Strong technical foundation from a computer science program or equivalent real-world experience.
- Experience owning significant product or system areas end to end.
- Deep comfort with TypeScript and modern frontend development.
- Solid backend fundamentals, including data modeling, APIs, and system design.
- Strong debugging skills and ability to reason through complex systems.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new domains quickly and apply knowledge in practice.
- Experience operating in fast-paced, high-ownership environments.
- Experience at an early-stage or high-growth startup is preferred.
- Deep collaboration with design and product partners is preferred.
- A track record of mentoring or leading engineers is preferred.
- Personal projects or writing demonstrating taste and initiative are preferred.
