Responsibilities
- Build, scale, ship, and monitor reliable platform systems using Java, Python, MySQL, NSQ, HBase, AWS, and Kubernetes.
- Develop and support scalable distributed backend services and concurrent systems.
- Partner with product managers, designers, infrastructure teams, and other engineers to define requirements and deliver features.
- Improve engineering processes, systems, tools, technical direction, reliability, monitoring, and testing practices.
- Participate in production support, outage response, alerting, and service health monitoring.
- Lead technical designs and architecture meetings, coordinate project dependencies, and act as a domain owner.
- Identify technical debt and performance bottlenecks and implement improvements.
- Mentor junior engineers through knowledge sharing, code reviews, technical feedback, and presentations.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience developing and supporting software in a production environment.
- At least 3 years of programming experience in object-oriented languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
- At least 3 years of experience developing and supporting scalable distributed backend services is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases is preferred.
- Professional English proficiency in verbal and written communication is required.
- Professional Polish proficiency in verbal and written communication is preferred.
