Senior Software Engineer (Platform/Scala)

Responsibilities
- Build, scale, ship, and monitor reliable platform systems using Scala, Python, MySQL, ClickHouse, Redis, Kafka, Qdrant, and Solr.
- Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and deliver features.
- Improve engineering processes, systems, tools, and technical direction while supporting quality, planning, testing, and monitoring.
- Own and deliver software stories and small-to-medium features from implementation through testing and final delivery.
- Mentor engineers through knowledge sharing, code review feedback, and technical design guidance.
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical initiatives that improve system health and maintainability.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience developing and supporting software in a production environment.
- At least 3 years of programming experience in object-oriented languages such as Scala or other JVM languages.
- At least 3 years of experience with functional programming paradigms and ecosystems such as Scala Cats or ZIO.
- Professional English proficiency in verbal and written communication.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of experience developing and supporting scalable distributed backend services.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of experience working with SQL and relational databases.
- Preferred: professional Polish proficiency in verbal and written communication.
