Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, cloud-ready applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Build web applications with Angular and/or React and TypeScript.
- Develop and integrate APIs and event-driven services using Kafka, Solace, JMS, and messaging platforms.
- Implement caching and performance optimization with Redis and Hazelcast.
- Own application delivery from architecture and development through deployment and production support.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and code quality.
- Drive application modernization, automation, observability, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architecture, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders in Agile teams.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical direction and leadership.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience, including at least 5 years of full-stack development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot, microservices, Angular 15+ and/or React, Kafka, Solace, JMS, Redis, Hazelcast, Oracle, MongoDB, Snowflake, Git, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design, design patterns, data structures and algorithms, secure coding, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects.
- Working knowledge of consulting and project management techniques and methods.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience with Azure or AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, containerized deployments, API security, OAuth2, JWT, and Zero Trust principles.
- Preferred experience building AI-enabled applications with LLMs, RAG, AI agents, vector databases, or AI orchestration frameworks.
- Preferred experience with observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or Prometheus.
- Banking or financial services experience is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, ownership, delivery, and technical influence skills.
