Base Salary

$120k - $261k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement secure authentication and connectivity solutions for Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Develop extensible, maintainable, well-tested, secure, and performant software using C or C++.
  • Own and contribute to architecture, design documents, technical proposals, and complex system designs.
  • Review product and test code, coach other engineers, and improve code quality, security, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Use debugging tools, tests, logs, telemetry, and incident retrospectives to prevent and resolve production issues.
  • Drive security, privacy, accessibility, compliance, auditability, and regulatory requirements across solutions.
  • Serve as a designated responsible individual, participate in on-call operations, monitor services, and lead incident recovery efforts.
  • Use and evaluate AI tools and practices across the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience coding in C or C++, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
  • Preferred: master's degree and 6+ years of technical engineering experience, or bachelor's degree and 8+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: experience with OpenSSL, NCrypt, OpenID, Entra, WebAuth, and YubiKey.
  • Preferred: experience in cybersecurity, responsible disclosure practices, risk evaluation and mitigation, Windows Internals, and distributed systems.

Benefits

  • U.S. base pay is listed as $119,800-$234,700 per year, with a separate $160,200-$261,000 annual range for specific San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area locations.
  • Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
  • The position is open for a minimum of five days, with applications accepted until filled.
