Responsibilities
- Own and contribute to architecture and development of enterprise Java applications.
- Provide technical guidance on design and implementation across distributed teams.
- Develop client and server components using Java, Java EE/Jakarta EE, Eclipse RCP, SWT, JFace, and WildFly.
- Modernize and modularize legacy forensic systems while developing new enterprise platforms.
- Design and optimize backend services, data models, integration logic, and high-performance processing.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments, and automated build, deployment, and release processes.
- Ensure code quality, test coverage, performance, scalability, production stability, and continuous improvement.
- Support team mobilization, onboarding, training, knowledge transfer, and collaboration across distributed delivery centers.
- Act as a technical interface between business and IT teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Extensive experience of 10+ years in enterprise Java development and DevOps practices.
- Proven experience in software architecture and hands-on development.
- Experience with Java 11 or Java 17, Java EE or Jakarta EE, Eclipse RCP, SWT, JFace, PostgreSQL, and WildFly Application Server.
- Knowledge of object-oriented development, design patterns, Clean Code, application modularization, and legacy-system evolution.
- Experience with JPA/Hibernate, JPQL/CriteriaBuilder, Git, Azure DevOps, Docker, Maven, and Eclipse Tycho.
- Experience working in regulated or complex operational environments such as forensics or LIMS.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across distributed delivery teams.
- Customer-service orientation, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, flexibility, analytical reasoning, self-motivation, and teamwork.
