Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated tests across unit, integration, API, end-to-end, regression, and performance layers.
  • Build internal test automation frameworks, libraries, and shared utilities for the engineering organization.
  • Integrate automated tests into GitHub Actions pipelines and support frequent production deployments.
  • Introduce contract testing between services and develop performance, load, and stress tests using k6.
  • Use Sentry, Grafana, and ELK observability data as quality signals and analyze test failures and production incidents.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and security teams on test strategies, risk identification, and sensitive or regulated flows.
  • Experiment with AI-assisted tools for test generation, exploratory testing, and test data.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Senior Developer in Test, Senior Engineer in Test, or Senior SDET.
  • Strong coding ability in at least one of Golang, Python, Ruby/Rails, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience creating test automation frameworks from scratch, including experience with tools such as Playwright.
  • Experience testing APIs with Bruno, Postman, or similar tools and performing contract testing with Pact or similar.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD platforms and automated test integration into build pipelines.
  • Experience using AI-assisted testing tools or genuine eagerness to learn and experiment with them.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, Git, and collaborative development skills.
  • Ability to diagnose flaky tests, race conditions, and complex integration issues, with strong written and spoken English.
