
Senior Software Engineer, Manufacturing Test

Responsibilities
- Develop applications for Windows and Linux desktop environments.
- Integrate cloud data and deployment features while maintaining user authentication and security.
- Write Python automation scripts for debugging and prototyping.
- Triage issues, identify root causes of failures, and coordinate next steps.
- Partner with end-users to translate needs into features while balancing user experience and engineering constraints.
- Improve automation, throughput, user interfaces, data acquisition, and analytics for manufacturing test processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- Expertise in software development with Python.
- Experience integrating or developing low-level code, device libraries, or drivers.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps automation for application deployment and testing.
- Experience collaborating on multidisciplinary projects with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers.
- Experience with automated unit, integration, and system-level testing.
- Expertise using Git for version control.
- U.S. Person status due to access requirements for U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
- Eight or more years of relevant industry experience preferred.
- Manufacturing or industrial software experience preferred.
- Understanding of USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232, RS485, and Ethernet preferred.
- WPF and C# desktop application development experience preferred.
- Embedded systems experience preferred.
- Experience with automated testing for non-software products preferred.
- Proficiency with RESTful services in AWS or Azure infrastructure preferred.
- Hands-on experience with a major relational database such as DB2 or SQL Server and/or NoSQL preferred.
- A master’s degree in computer science or a related field, or experience with test automation or cloud deployment tools, preferred.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance preferred.
