Base Salary
$159k - $305k/yr
Responsibilities
- Act as a technology advisor to leadership across application, network, information security, database, operating system, and web technology domains.
- Lead strategy and resolution for highly complex, enterprise-scale engineering challenges.
- Architect, design, build, troubleshoot, and deliver large-scale risk management systems while remaining hands-on in the codebase.
- Guide solution design, technical decisions, reusable patterns, engineering best practices, and technology innovation.
- Translate business objectives and enterprise technology opportunities into technical engineering solutions.
- Present technology strategy and concepts to C-level executives and large audiences.
- Coach and mentor engineers through practical problem solving and collaborate across matrixed organizational structures.
- Maintain awareness of industry best practices and recommend innovations that improve operations or competitive advantage.
Requirements
- 7+ years of engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 7+ years architecting, designing, and leading delivery of large-scale solutions.
- 4+ years of financial services industry experience.
- 4+ years presenting technology strategy and concepts to C-level executives and large audiences.
- 2+ years delivering cloud-ready and cloud-native solutions.
- 2+ years of Java full-stack development experience.
- Preferred experience with Google Cloud Compute (GCP) or Microsoft Azure.
- Preferred experience with AI utilization and agentic development.
- Preferred experience with the Wells Fargo Risk Technology ecosystem and application delivery and management processes.
- Experience mentoring others and leading informally in matrixed organizational structures.
- Current ability and desire to continue personally developing hands-on solutions for difficult product problems.
