Responsibilities
- Develop, debug, design, and enhance software applications or operating systems within an existing architecture.
- Deliver and operate large-scale, highly available distributed systems and cloud services.
- Design, troubleshoot, and debug software to improve performance, availability, reliability, and scalability.
- Analyze issues, diagnose problems, participate in on-call rotations, and resolve service issues.
- Apply knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, networking, databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience delivering and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems and/or cloud services.
- Strong knowledge of Java and familiarity with additional languages and tools such as Python, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, distributed systems, and cloud services.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP, HTTP, and standard network architectures.
- Strong understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies, especially in CloudDesign.
