Base Salary
$180k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap for developer and coding-agent interaction with codebases, internal tools, testing, review, and software delivery.
- Build the developer-facing cloud coding layer covering task intake, environment setup, context, tools, permissions, observability, review, and delivery.
- Improve agent-generated code and architecture through repository structure, interfaces, documentation, instructions, feedback loops, and context design.
- Own the internal skills and instructions system, including contribution standards, evaluation, discoverability, maintenance, and pruning.
- Improve CI, local development, testing, debugging, deployment workflows, and other developer productivity bottlenecks.
- Measure correctness, reviewability, cost, latency, and human intervention using developer research, satisfaction data, DORA, SPACE, traces, and task-level evaluations.
- Drive adoption by working directly with engineers, teaching effective practices, and turning successful experiments into organizational defaults.
- Partner with infrastructure and security engineers on sandboxing, credentials, approvals, auditability, and safe cloud-agent access.
Requirements
- Demonstrated substantial use of Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar coding-agent tools, including task decomposition, context management, model selection, failure inspection, and maintainable implementation.
- Experience building developer tooling or an internal platform relied on by engineers beyond the immediate team.
- Meaningful experience improving CI, testing, repository workflows, or developer productivity in a substantial, long-lived codebase.
- Ability to interview developers, identify root causes, create evidence-based roadmaps, and make product judgments for internal systems.
- Strong software engineering experience building and operating substantial production software and implementing durable solutions independently.
- Experience evaluating nondeterministic agent behavior by comparing prompts, context, tools, models, and workflows against representative tasks.
- Ability to set standards and change defaults across teams through evidence-based cross-team influence.
- Pragmatic range across platform code, repository conventions, evaluation data, developer interviews, documentation, and hands-on enablement.
- Preferred experience with cloud or remote development environments, coding-agent control planes, secure execution sandboxes, agentic code review, agent tools and orchestration, model-routing infrastructure, DORA or SPACE, or security- and compliance-sensitive industries.
