Base Salary
$200k - $400k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and optimize development infrastructure, internal admin tooling, CI/CD, deployment pipelines, development and demo environments, and engineering tools.
- Build and maintain Kubernetes-based service infrastructure, deployment pipelines, observability, shared libraries, secret management, and platform abstractions.
- Own schemas, storage, and access patterns for investigation traces, agent trajectories, the resource graph, customer telemetry, and typed state data.
- Maintain data integrity and choose appropriate levels of normalization and structure for platform data.
- Own the MCP gateway, OAuth and credential management, self-hosted MCP server deployment and lifecycle, and the unified integration catalog.
- Ensure reliable token refresh, proactive health checks, and isolation for customer and partner integrations.
- Partner with product, forward-deployed engineering, and research teams to turn ambiguous goals into production systems.
- Measure platform success by engineering productivity, adoption, and reliability.
Requirements
- At least three years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or backend engineering, preferably at a high-growth or AI-native company.
- Strong fundamentals in service-oriented architecture, networking, and systems design.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and hands-on experience operating production services on Kubernetes.
- Ability to take ambiguous goals from prototype to production using customer feedback and operational data.
- Strong coding and data modeling skills.
- Product-focused approach to platform engineering and adoption.
- Experience with MCP, OAuth, API gateways, or multi-tenant integration platforms is a bonus.
- Experience with modern observability, distributed tracing, and SRE best practices is a bonus.
- Experience building internal admin or developer tooling for humans and agents is a bonus.
- Experience working on agent or LLM systems, including context management, tool use, or sandboxing, is a bonus.
- Willingness to work in person from the company's New York office.
