Base Salary
$210k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and operate Gusto's edge security stack including Cloudflare WAF and DDoS protection.
- Own the network security perimeter across AWS and the edge.
- Develop policy-as-code patterns for WAF rules and network policies.
- Build detections and alerting on edge and network telemetry.
- Contribute across the security engineering surface including cloud posture and incident response.
- Operate as an AI-native engineer using advanced tooling.
- Prototype and ship custom security automations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on security engineering experience.
- Deep expertise with Cloudflare's security stack.
- Strong network architecture skills across edge and cloud.
- Fluency with policy-as-code and Terraform.
- Solid foundation in cloud security, IAM, and detection engineering.
- AI-native working style with experience in building AI-assisted workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
