Base Salary
$197k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction and roadmap for the member referral platform across frontend experiences, backend services, and data pipelines.
- Scale incentive and referral systems to support increasing member volume and complexity while preserving conversion and user experience.
- Integrate ML model outputs such as propensity scores, personalized offers, and targeting signals into referral surfaces.
- Design, instrument, and analyze A/B experiments and collaborate with data science on feedback loops connecting model outputs to product outcomes.
- Partner with product, design, and analytics to prioritize work and balance short-term wins with long-term platform leverage.
- Raise engineering standards through code quality, system design, observability, and technical decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, including meaningful time working on production systems at scale.
- Hands-on experience building and operating full-stack applications using technologies such as React or React Native with Node.js, TypeScript, or similar backend technologies.
- Experience designing or evolving incentive, rewards, or referral systems that measurably influence user and business outcomes is preferred.
- Experience integrating ML models into production systems, including model serving, feature pipelines, experimentation, and feedback loops, is preferred.
- Depth with React, React Native, TypeScript, NestJS, GraphQL, Node.js, relational and non-relational databases, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and Redis is preferred.
- Experience with experimentation platforms, A/B testing frameworks, or ML feature stores is preferred.
- Experience setting technical direction, owning architectural decisions, and driving high-quality execution is preferred.
- Experience at a consumer growth-focused company or with viral or referral growth mechanics is preferred.
- Experience working in healthcare or other regulated-data environments is preferred.
