Responsibilities

  • Develop data platforms, SQL queries, pipelines, and tools for ingesting, cleaning, enriching, and optimizing enterprise data.
  • Build semantic models and reusable data assets that support analytics, applications, and AI use cases.
  • Prototype AI solutions, automated scripts, agentic workflows, and LLM implementations for business problems.
  • Implement data-quality checks, monitoring, alerting, and observability capabilities for data platforms and pipelines.
  • Contribute to reusable frameworks, automated testing, platform reliability improvements, and developer tooling.
  • Build integrations connecting data and AI tools with enterprise corporate systems.
  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, documentation, production-readiness activities, and architectural planning.
  • Research emerging AI tools, open-source libraries, generative AI, agentic applications, and AI-assisted development tools.
  • Support business stakeholders by explaining technical concepts and documenting how to use data and AI tools.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, machine learning, software engineering, or a related field and will have completed at least the sophomore year at the start of the internship.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in modern programming, preferably Python, Java, or Go, along with object-oriented programming and scripting fundamentals.
  • Understanding of machine learning algorithms, techniques, best practices, or a strong academic interest in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and natural language processing.
  • Hands-on experience with data analysis, manipulation, visualization, SQL, and relational database concepts.
  • Basic familiarity with version control tools such as Git or GitHub.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, verbal communication, collaboration, adaptability, and ownership skills.
  • Preferred exposure to Airflow, dbt, PySpark, Spark, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP, data quality, observability, monitoring, platform reliability, APIs, event-driven systems, distributed systems, and DevOps tools.
  • Practical experience through academic projects, hackathons, prior internships, research, personal coding projects, or open-source contributions involving data engineering or software development is preferred.
