Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and enforce database development standards and performance practices.
- Design and drive architectural changes for critical Tier 0 database systems and transaction-processing flows.
- Own and implement complex technical roadmap tasks for system resiliency and scalability.
- Investigate production issues, deliver hotfixes, and develop long-term root-cause solutions.
- Design, code, debug, validate, and optimize database logic for high-volume transaction platforms.
Requirements
- Extensive experience designing, coding, debugging, and validating database logic within a software development life cycle.
- Proven experience managing and scaling databases for high-volume Tier 0 transaction-processing platforms or massive data migrations.
- Deep knowledge of database performance tuning, processing optimization, flowcharting, and data growth management.
- Preferred experience with large-scale merchant platform migrations, payment network routing interfaces such as Interac, or UI modernization projects.
- Preferred experience working on horizontal database teams spanning transaction processing through reporting.
