Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction of solutions and guide the team toward high-quality, scalable, and maintainable delivery.
- Design, code, debug, unit test, document, and maintain large and complex software applications.
- Make architectural and design decisions and drive end-to-end solutions for complex or ambiguous problems.
- Develop eCommerce stores, including commerce, content, and integrations with external systems.
- Mentor junior developers through code reviews, guidance, and implementation support.
- Collaborate with developers, consultants, and cross-functional teams on technical implementation and planning.
- Identify technical risks and propose improvements across the codebase and development processes.
- Troubleshoot complex or escalated incidents and provide innovative technical solutions.
- Monitor emerging software engineering trends and evaluate new technologies and ideas.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Java applications.
- Graduation is required.
- Strong development skills in Java 11 or above, with knowledge of data structures, algorithms, problem-solving, and object-oriented programming.
- Hands-on experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
- Experience with logging frameworks such as SLF4J, Logback, or Log4j.
- Experience writing JUnit test cases using Mockito or PowerMock.
- Understanding of design principles, design patterns, exception handling, serialization/deserialization, immutability, Java collections, generics, annotations, and autoboxing.
- Experience with multithreading, concurrent packages and APIs, and Java memory management concepts including garbage collection.
- Experience with RDBMS or NoSQL databases and writing SQL queries.
- Experience creating and consuming RESTful web services.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and at least one cloud technology.
- Hands-on experience with SonarQube, code management tools, and caching mechanisms.
- Ability to make architectural decisions, guide technical delivery, mentor team members, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Agile project management knowledge is listed as a good-to-have qualification.
