Base Salary
$190k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate reliable multi-cluster Kubernetes infrastructure across cloud providers, including compute, networking, storage, autoscaling, observability, and security.
- Build multi-tenant platform primitives such as tenant-safe storage, shared secrets, RBAC, and workload identity.
- Design secure, sandboxed execution environments for agentic and untrusted workloads.
- Act as a solutions architect for internal platform customers and drive infrastructure designs into production.
- Build developer tooling that improves engineering effectiveness.
- Debug distributed-systems edge cases and own production incidents, incident command, postmortems, and follow-through.
- Mentor engineers and raise technical standards through design reviews and collaboration.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and operating large-scale infrastructure, platform, SRE, or DevOps systems.
- Experience with container orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes.
- Deep experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI.
- Production-quality programming expertise in at least one of Go, Python, Rust, or C++, with the ability to learn other technologies as needed.
- Fluency with infrastructure as code and GitOps workflows, including Terraform, OpenTofu, Pulumi, Crossplane, or similar tools.
- Strong cross-team communication, collaboration, and execution skills.
- BS in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred experience includes serverless or scale-to-zero container platforms, workload sandboxing and isolation, cluster and cloud networking, multi-cluster or multi-region Kubernetes at scale, platform security, customer-facing incident command, enterprise AI infrastructure, platform solutions, and open-source infrastructure tooling.
