Responsibilities

  • Lead complex and companywide technology initiatives with broad organizational impact.
  • Design, code, test, debug, document, review, and analyze complex large-scale technology solutions.
  • Develop engineering standards and companywide best practices for complex technology solutions.
  • Make technical decisions, influence technology teams, lead new initiatives, and drive deliverables.
  • Collaborate with technical experts, senior technology teams, external industry groups, product teams, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders.
  • Lead projects and teams or serve as a peer mentor while resolving complex technical issues.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • At least 5 years of Java application development experience.
  • At least 3 years of Spring Boot experience.
  • At least 2 years of Kafka experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience with cloud implementation technologies including Azure, Kubernetes, Google Cloud, or PCF.
  • Preferred experience includes business process orchestration, Oracle or MongoDB, microservices or SOA, API gateways, containerization, Angular or ReactJS, Oracle Service Bus, design patterns, domain-driven design, event-based integration, and wholesale payments.
  • Preferred experience includes working in Agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban.
