Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical leadership for the conversational AI orchestration platform, knowledge management capabilities, and model governance and observability practices.
- Lead complex development, design, implementation, architecture specification, technical evaluation, and proof-of-concept activities.
- Define and approve technical standards and architecture patterns for agent onboarding, agent-to-agent integration, knowledge ingestion, conversation compliance, and model access.
- Review architecture documentation and diagrams and approve technical designs and solutions.
- Evaluate project risks, change requests, feasibility, implementation patterns, and reuse potential for AI-powered use cases.
- Resolve complex technical issues, support root cause analysis, and help prevent recurring technology problems.
- Mentor engineers, identify training needs, influence stakeholders, and drive adoption of new technical standards.
- Participate in design, code, and test inspections, project meetings, milestone reviews, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
- Ensure deliverables comply with applicable information technology, information security, compliance, and governance requirements.
Requirements
- At least eight years of related work experience, including at least five years of development experience.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience; a graduate degree is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with agent orchestration or conversational AI platforms, including agent-to-agent/A2A protocols.
- Experience with cloud-native service architecture and knowledge management, retrieval-augmented generation, or semantic search systems.
- Experience with LLM observability and evaluation tooling such as Arize or comparable tools.
- Exposure to multiple model providers and model access pattern design.
- Knowledge of AI-amplified PDLC practices and hands-on experience with Python, TypeScript, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or comparable AI engineering tools.
- Strong technical judgment, comfort with ambiguity, ability to influence without direct authority, commitment to engineering excellence, and interest in responsible AI practices.
