Responsibilities
- Lead moderately complex software engineering initiatives and deliverables within technical domains.
- Design, code, test, debug, document, upgrade, and deploy software projects and programs.
- Develop and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend and frontend applications.
- Implement Java and Spring Boot microservices, databases, web services, and responsive Angular applications.
- Deploy applications across enterprise servers and cloud platforms using containers and orchestration tools.
- Review technical challenges, resolve issues, lead projects, and serve as an escalation point.
- Participate in code reviews, enforce engineering best practices, mentor junior developers, and guide less experienced staff.
- Collaborate with peers, colleagues, managers, and clients to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals.
- Support risk, compliance, monitoring, governance, escalation, and remediation requirements.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework components, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, JPA, Oracle, and microservices.
- Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, jQuery, Ajax, and Angular 16.
- Experience developing and consuming SOAP and RESTful APIs using JAX-WS, JAX-RS, and Spring REST controllers.
- Experience deploying applications on Apache Tomcat, JBoss EAP, and IBM WebSphere.
- Experience with AWS, Azure App Services, Google Cloud Platform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Maven, Gradle, SonarQube, Ansible, Python, shell scripting, and network technologies such as F5 and AVI.
- Knowledge of MVC architecture, J2EE design patterns, Agile environments, scrum meetings, and sprint progress management.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, mentoring, and technical leadership abilities.
