Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain full-stack applications for the RBC Insurance Digital portfolio.
- Design and implement user interfaces, application logic, APIs, and microservices.
- Provide technical direction and design expertise across multiple concurrent projects.
- Collaborate with technical, product, business, infrastructure, and operations teams.
- Mentor and coach front-end developers, API services developers, and quality engineers.
- Implement automated unit and functional testing and maintain high code quality.
- Promote applications to production and support performance, reliability, and ongoing maintenance.
- Prepare documentation and follow application development, reuse, and software delivery best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Java, Angular, Spring, Spring Boot, and SQL.
- 5+ years of experience developing web-based applications with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience building and operating applications on OpenShift or Azure.
- Experience with Apigee API publishing for internal and external partners.
- Experience working in an Agile development team and with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins or GitHub.
- Experience with automated testing tools or similar technologies.
- Experience using AI developer tools such as Copilot or Windsurf.
- Knowledge of authentication and authorization, including OAuth, OIDC, and SAML.
- Nice-to-have experience includes insurance, DevOps technologies, Auth0, Azure AD, Swagger Codegen, Apache CXF, AngularJS, Kafka, nginx, IBM Security Access Manager, and IBM WebSphere Application Server.
