Responsibilities
- Develop motion control systems that translate operator commands into smooth robot movements.
- Implement teleoperation control pipelines using impedance, admittance, and model predictive control.
- Create force estimation algorithms for teleoperator interfaces.
- Establish kinodynamic retargeting pipelines for translating human motion into robot commands.
- Design calibration and validation pipelines to ensure consistent control system performance.
- Manage compliant control of the robot during contact tasks.
Requirements
- PhD in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field focused on controls.
- Strong foundation in robot kinematics and dynamics.
- Hands-on experience with motion controllers on real robot hardware.
- Experience with teleoperation control systems for low-latency robot command translation.
- Proficiency in C++, Rust, or Python for real-time control systems.
- Understanding of real-time constraints and control loop timing.
