Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and hands-on implementation of enterprise-scale web applications.
- Serve as the technical UI lead through coding, design reviews, implementation, and architecture decisions.
- Design reusable UI frameworks, component libraries, and frontend engineering standards.
- Build responsive, high-performance interfaces supporting large datasets and real-time updates.
- Define API and integration patterns with backend teams using RESTful services and WebSocket communication.
- Lead adoption of AI-assisted software engineering practices using coding assistants and AI agents.
- Mentor and coach engineers through design discussions, code reviews, technical guidance, and career development.
- Collaborate with DevOps and platform teams on CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and deployment processes.
- Provide Level 3 investigation and resolution for complex production issues.
- Promote reusable solutions, cross-team collaboration, continuous improvement, and compliance with security, risk, and governance standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 8+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 5 years focused on modern web application development.
- Proven experience leading technical initiatives while remaining hands-on in software development.
- Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, JavaScript, Angular, and Node.js.
- Strong experience building reusable UI components and enterprise frontend architectures.
- Experience with advanced data grid frameworks such as AG Grid or similar component libraries.
- Understanding of object-oriented design, modern software architecture, RESTful APIs, WebSocket technologies, SDLC, source control, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with GitHub, Jira, automated testing, modern DevOps practices, cloud-native development, and containerized deployment environments.
- Demonstrated use of AI coding assistants and AI agents to improve productivity and software quality.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, leadership, ownership, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with Electron or other web-based desktop application frameworks.
- Preferred experience with Python, Java, SQL, and distributed messaging or streaming platforms.
- Preferred familiarity with microservices architecture, event-driven systems, financial services or capital markets, technical roadmaps, and modernization initiatives.
- A Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
